Who We Are

For more than twenty years, I owned a media company and  struggled with the same challenges every business owner faces with regard to building the best sales team for my business.  For my company, the solution was a group of young, ambitious individuals whom I could train to use my techniques and uphold my values.  I sold that business ten years ago, and many of those people are still there to this day, having succeeded personally and for the business in ways they never dreamed possible.

In 2004, I had the opportunity to teach a course in sales and marketing at my alma mater, Curry College.  I soon discovered that the training which worked so well for my company was universally effective for my students and, therefore,  beneficial for the companies that would eventually hire them.  And so, 25 years of professional experience combined with a few years in academia sparked the concept that is now Marketing Mentors Network.

Professionals.  Not Professors.

Our training course does qualify as a 3-credit college course, but the people who do the training are career professionals, not academics.  The techniques we teach and advice we give comes from real-world experience -- successful experience.  Above all, we know that the best salespeople have to believe in what they sell because the best salespeople believe in themselves.  Our graduates learn to build relationships through sound, ethical, best practices.
